2015. Chuck Palahniuk and Cameron Stewart’s “Fight Club 2” graphic novel cover

Even though it’s one of those generally agreed upon “movie is better than the book” books, Chuck Palahniuk’s 1996 novel Fight Club is a certifiable cultural landmark—and one that continues to endure every time a new piece of Ikea furniture is assembled.

And now, after nearly nineteen years, Palahniuk feels ready to revisit his debut via a graphic novel in collaboration with illustrator Cameron Stewart. The story picks up ten years after the novel left off, with Tyler Durden once again creeping back into the life of the ever-changing, ever-dangerous unnamed protagonist, as well as his now-wife, Marla Singer. Things…aren’t going to work out well.

Notably, the whole thing will be released as a ten-issue maxiseries via Dark Horse Comics, with the first issue out May 27. But if you’re curious now (and why wouldn’t you be?), Playboy has the initial six pages to check out, which you can read here.
