For the last year, we’ve been following The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus as it makes its way across the country, providing children with the opportunity to learn how to create their own music. Now, to celebrate what would have been the Beatle’s seventy-fifth birthday, Yoko Ono is planning a huge demonstration of peace in New York’s Central Park.

On Tuesday, October 6, Ono and the Lennon Bus hope to organize the world’s largest human peace sign on the park’s East Lawn as part of her ongoing Imagine Peace campaign. More than six-thousand people are expected to attend the Guinness World Record–breaking attempt and spread the charitable organization’s message of love. Beyond the hopefully historical undertaking, next week’s Imagine Peace event will feature “surprise musical performances,” and considering Ono’s wide reach of famous friends, those surprises could be pretty significant.
