Concussion, the new film starring Will Smith as a forensic pathologist who investigates the effects of football on the human brain, will be released on December 25. But you don’t have to wait until then to hear Leon Bridges‘s “So Long,” which is taken from the film’s soundtrack. The Ft. Worth–based soul singer released the single ahead of the film’s release today. It’s the first bit of new music we’ve heard from Bridges since he released Coming Home to great acclaim earlier this year.

You can listen to the slow, mournful “So Long” below.
