Turns out Bernie Sanders, like Public Enemy, strongly dislikes The Power. The latest performer to soundtrack the presidential hopeful’s hip gatherings will be the condensed incarnation of the Long Island political rap group (now performing under the name Public Enemy Radio), following in the recent footsteps of groups like The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, and Bon Iver.
In addition to Chuck D, the rally will feature comedian Sarah Silverman and esteemed chimney sweep Dick Van Dyke as speakers in a truly surreal merging of public identities that could only take place in LA. As of now it seems unclear if Chuck will be joined by any of his PE cohorts (DJ Lord and Professor Griff are still officially listed as members).
The event will take place March 1 at the LA Convention Center. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the event starts at 5. Find more details here.
