LA’s Gateway Drugs are back with their first album in five years with PSA, set to be released next month on Future Shock Records. After grabbing our attention a few weeks ago with the dense, psych-wary “Wait (Medication),” the group is sharing a second single (and homemade video) from the record today.

“Slumber” is a bit space-ier than its predecessor, sounding a bit less Brian Jonestown Massacre in lieu of a shoegaze slant. To present the single, the crew filmed a video that they refer to as a-day-in-the-life of the band—revealing that skateboarding in their recording studio and duct-taping wine bottles is evidently all a part of their daily routine.

“Videos nowadays tend to be overly cinematic or pretentious,” the band shares. “The songs get lost and leaves little room for the listeners’ imagination. We wanted to keep it simple, sincere, and true to form. So we shot and edited the video ourselves, we hope you like it. Come hang with the gang.”

PSA is out May 8 via Future Shock—you can pre-order it here, and stream “Slumber” here.
