With the recent news of Weezer’s forthcoming LP Van Weezer getting pushed back indefinitely, the silver lining is that the alt-rock band’s bizarre press cycle will also be prolonged. For the few of us who beat their End of the Game 8-bit computer game and are ready to move on to the next thing, the four piece will be appearing on The Simpsons this Sunday to unveil their second single this week.
After sharing “Hero” yesterday, Rivers Cuomo and his band will be appearing as a cover band called Sailor’s Delight on the long-running animated sitcom where they’ll be playing a few tracks from their recent LPs, and debuting the new single “Blue Dream” from the metal-inspired Van Weezer. Tune in to Fox on Sunday, May 10, at 6 p.m. PT to hear it. Preview the performance below.
