Taymir (pronounced “tie-meer”) hail from The Hague, but their sound is instantly familiar to fans of the British Invasion (both the ’60s and the ’00s ones). The quartet’s debut album Phosphene was already released in The Netherlands, but will see a US release later this year.

Ahead of that, the group has premiered their catchy new garage-rock tune “AAAAAH,” which channels both the rawness of the Arctic Monkeys and the unapologetic pop of Franz Ferdinand. Quick-witted, conversational lyrics and a catchy chorus drive the tune, with rhythmic clapping and drums, and a fast-paced melody that cement the single as an instant, irresistible must-dance moment.

You can catch Taymir at SXSW this March at one of their two FLOODfest performances. See a full details of their short US run below.
