Animal Collective have been fairly quiet lately. While the individual members have stayed busy—Panda Bear‘s Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper was one of the strongest releases of the first half of the year, and he released a new EP just two weeks ago, while Avey Tare has been keeping company with his Slasher Flicks project—they haven’t gathered their forces since releasing 2012’s Centipede Hz.

Today, the cosmopolitan freak-pop group have announced the release of Live at 9:30, a set recorded on June 12, 2013 at the iconic Washington, DC, venue. The album is available right now on the band’s redesigned website as a limited edition 3xLP with an instant download, with iTunes and other streaming services to carry it beginning Friday.

Until then, the band have made the Live at 9:30 version of “Did You See the Words,” the opening track from 2005’s Feels, available for streaming. As is often the case with AnCo, the group rework the track here, expanding it with a hypnotic intro and letting it rest in the pocket on a bed of chorus-driven guitar.
