Last week, Tinashe announced the deluxe version of last year's 333. One of the four added tracks is called "Naturally," and, quite honestly, it's an immediate hit. It's catchy R&B with a country flair—a tinny guitar breaks through a square-dance shuffling beat. Yesterday, on the day dedicated to Cupid shooting off his cute little arrows, she also shared the track's gory, horror-inspired music video. "Be my valentine or die," she cheekily tweeted.
Giving a heavy nod to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the "Naturally" video has everything you'd want and more: Tinashe in a Little Bo Peep–inspired costume carrying a scythe, Tinashe in a stylish white latex outfit covered in blood, Tinashe getting down in a cowboy hat, Tinashe covered in blood and laughing in the back of a truck. On top of it being a fun, cinematic homage soundtracking an intoxicating love affair, the video is a fitting survival epic of Tinashe finally thriving in an industry that's tried to stifle her for so long. Look who's laughing now.
