A good reality TV show is hard to find these days. Well, I suppose that depends on what quantifies "good." Is it scandalous and ridiculous? Is it a hedonistic escape? Is it a redundant quest for love? Or does it actually try to chip away at television's artificial Hollywood polish that glamorizes mundane routines and ignores the kinds of hardships that the average person endures? The forthcoming show from pop superstar Lizzo looks like an original, humanizing reality show that doesn't focus on billionaires or hot people trying not to have sex with each other.

Instead, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls is an eight-episode series about a competition for average-sized woman—which is not the quote-unquote beauty standard—hoping to secure a spot as a dancer on Lizzo's world tour as part of her Big Grrrls crew. The press release expounds: "With 10 hopeful women moving into the Big Grrrls House, they must prove they have what it takes to make it to the end and join Lizzo in front of a global audience on the center stage."

The show, which premieres March 25, will also feature choreographers Tanisha Scott and O.G. Big Grrrls Chawnta’ Marie Van, Shirlene Quigley, and Grace Holden, and several special guests, including additional choreographer Charm La’Donna, body movement expert Rashida KhanBey Miller, and multi-platinum singer/songwriter SZA.
