If you’ve yet to find your empowerment anthem for 2022, Netta has you covered. The 2018 Eurovision winner’s recent single “CEO” is an upbeat pep talk encouraging listeners to embrace autonomy in a world where it often feels like all of our decisions are being made for us. “I am the mothafuckin’ CEO of my business, my life and my journey,” she shared upon the track’s release. “I wrote ‘CEO’ as a call for everyone to join the tribe, be fearless and fierce, and make your own choices.”
One of these choices, it seems, was the unique setting for the “Neighborhoods” set she filmed for us: abetted by a baritone saxophonist and a backing percussionist, Netta took to the restaurant Dr. Shakshuka in Tel Aviv, Israel to perform the single (along with another recent single, “DUM”), seemingly jumping into the set mid-meal. The impassioned, culinary jam session runs nearly seven and a half minutes—check it out below.
