Back in August, Kentucky-based roots rockers Bendigo Fletcher unleashed their debut album Fits of Laughter through Elektra Records, an odyssey of psych-tinged, rock-leaning folk that often recalls forebears like Blitzen Trapper and Delta Spirit. It was from this batch of songs that vocalist Ryan Anderson and his band picked two to perform for their “Neighborhoods” session in a Louisville, Kentucky backyard. 

After opening the set with a full-band performance of “Astro Pup”—featuring banjo, two guitars, double bass, and percussion—Anderson goes solo with an acoustic take on “Retail Lord.” Both renditions strip the original versions of their shades of rock and psychedelia, presenting them as purely folk-minded ballads.
