Earlier this month, FLOOD and Fender announced a collaborative digital concert series titled the Vote Arts and Minds Sessions with the goal of encouraging folks to sign a petition to put the Arts & Music Funding Initiative—which would lead to increased arts and music education in public schools—on California’s November 2022 ballot. So far we’ve shared sessions with artists including Claud, Geographer, and No Vacation, and today we’re unveiling a set from SoCal pop-punks Joyce Manor.

Ripping through the rousing Never Hungover Again favorite “Catalina Fight Song” and Million Dollars to Kill Me’s “Big Lie” in a tight rehearsal space, the Torrance-reared group introed their session by announcing their support for arts and music education in California schools. “We 110 percent support Arts and Minds funding in public schools,” they shared. “Because kids have been home for two years on Zoom, and it’s really important that they get together and start getting creative.”

Check out their set below, and find more Vote Arts and Minds Sessions here.
