We're just now coming up for air after a wild week of FLOOD-hosted shows at the Mohawk in Austin last week during SXSW. Between sets at this year's two-day FLOODfest, photographer Daniel Cavazos captured intimate portraits of most of the performing acts, plus our LA friends Best Coast (who played the FLOOD-sponsored Wasserman Music party on Friday) and FLOOD fave S.G. Goodman who dropped by to visit.
We also captured a couple special moments, with Self Esteem's Rebecca Lucy Taylor meeting her favorite artist, Perfume Genius' Mike Hadreas ("Oh gosh, this is like posing for my prom photo," she remarked), and Japanese rapper/singer/screamer Haru Nemuri moved to tears by meeting her hero Nadya Tolokonnikova from Pussy Riot.
