Over the weekend the rock community took a major blow with the sudden passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died at the age of 50 while touring with the group in South America. While details are still coming together, the past few days have seen countless peers and other public figures dedicating social media posts to Hawkins—including First Lady Jill Biden.
The most heartfelt tribute to the late drummer, though, arrived last night courtesy of his close friend Perry Farrell, who shared a five-minute video on his Instagram account detailing their relationship. After sharing a clip of himself with Hawkins playfully singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” around a piano, Farrell is joined by his wife Etty Lau who reveals a voice message the couple received from Hawkins the night before his death.
