Last month, producer Sam Shepherd—a.k.a. Floating Points—shared the buzzing, shifting, hop-scotching single "Vocoder." It was his first release since last year's album Promises with Pharoah Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra. Today, Shepherd returned with another bumping track called "Grammar."

"Grammar" begins with a steady drum punch that's then layered with vocal snippets—including one that sounds like alien voices being beamed in via stereo from outer space. For over seven minutes, the single builds levels with the pacing of an Oscar-winning director, collapses, and then builds itself back up again. It's a freakin' jam.

Listen to "Grammar" below.
