A couple days ago, news broke that Kanye West dropped out of his headlining slot at this year's Coachella, which is happening on the weekends April 15 and April 22. There's no reason given for why Ye relinquished his festival spot, but the rapper did threaten to drop out earlier this year after he felt fellow headliner Billie Eillish insulted Travis Scott by stopping her concert to help a fan in need. Today, the replacement headliners have been announced: The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia.

“I’m so looking forward to this moment with Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd finishing out the Sunday night slot this year,” president/CEO of Coachella promoter Goldenvoice Paul Tollett said in a press statement. “Coachella has a special relationship with Abel and I’m so thankful to have this upcoming performance with these iconic artists all on the same stage.”

The Weeknd, who released his album DAWN FM at the beginning of the year, also recently announced a global stadium tour and shared dates for the North American portion. Swedish House Mafia are preparing to unveil their debut album Paradise Again on April 15. The two new headliners collaborated on a track last year called "Moth to a Flame." Revisit the track below.
