Andy Frasco will be the first person to tell you that inspirational songs can oftentimes be cheesy. But the final single he’s unveiling ahead of the release of Wash, Rinse, Repeat, his new album with his backing band The U.N., is an undeniably catchy affirmation that “it’s OK to wake up some days and be depressed.” “Puff Break (Believe That)” serves as both the album’s brightest moment of optimism as well as a smoke-break mantra.
“I really wanted the focus track to be the most optimistic track on the record, and to me that's ‘Puff Break (Believe That),’” Frasco explains. “We all have days where we lose hope or feel like the world is crumbling around us… We need to take a step back and realize life is too short to sweat the little things.”
With the rest of the album dropping tomorrow, Frasco intends for the single to highlight the full project’s focus on honesty. “I’m just becoming more honest with my flaws and the things I need to work on,” he adds. “I hope this record allows other people to be honest with themselves as well, so we can keep growing as we get older.”
