With weekend two of Coachella 2022 now in the books, you’ll have to look to almost literally any other large-to-moderately-sized North American city to find a well-curated list of artists filling out a festival bill this summer near you. But while every year seems to produce an exponentially larger number of summer music and arts fest options, there’s something unique about the pioneering SoCal vibes of Coachella that continues to set it apart—due in part to the fashion scene that’s become integral to the event.
Last weekend we sent our photographer Mallory Turner to capture scenes from the festival’s major performances, but over the past weekend we assigned her to capture portraits of many of the best artists at the event.
