To make the always-anxiety-inducing thought of midterm elections more palatable this year, the non-profit voter turnout group #iVoted is bringing back their virtual #iVoted Festival for Election Day 2022 after the massive success of their 2020 event. Along with a save the date, they’ve announced the first wave of artists—intriguingly assigned “per the data of the top streaming and trending artists in key states whose electoral margins are often decided by the size of a concert venue”—which includes Run the Jewels, Shakey Graves, Rise Against, DeVotchka, The Starting Line, Lake Street Dive, and tons more.
To RSVP for the event, you’ll need to share a selfie from your local polling station or at home with your (unmarked) ballot. In the meantime, you can sign up for the organization’s mailing list to stay in the loop on updates to the event, and learn more about #iVoted’s mission by checking out their newly launched podcast. Additionally, you can see the massive lineup of artists already onboard to perform at the online event here.
