Singer-songwriter/producer/badass Tove Lo returned today with a new single "No One Dies From Love." It follows her recent work with Pussy Riot and her contribution to the Euphoria soundtrack with "How Long." The new track was co-written with longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg and comes with a slightly devastating retro-futuristic video directed by Alaska.

"No One Dies From Love" is heartbreak dressed in sparkling new wave disco. Over a motorik Jazzercise drumbeat, Lo sings about being the first to die from love. "Will you remember us?" she asks achingly. "Are the memories too stained with blood now?" It's the quintessential happy-sad track that marries tears with a neon-lit dance floor. The visual finds that same balance of heartache, humor, and whimsy. Tove Lo buys a chic robot and ends up falling in love it. There are some steamy scenes! As you might have guessed, not everyone makes it out alive.

“When you’re with someone for a long time and it ends all of all sudden, it’s like a part of you has died," Lo said about the song. "This person is now a stranger to you. All of the memories are tainted. For the first part of the breakup, you believe you’re not supposed to feel good about anything you had together.”

She added about the video: "All the songs on the album are very cinematic, dramatic, and grand, so for the visual story I want to attach a character to each song. For 'No One Dies From Love' it's the classic vulnerable, lonely starlet looking for connection. This mini-movie is a different kind of love story."
