Sun's Signature, the new project featuring Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser and Massive Attack's Damon Reece, has shared another single preceding the release of their self-titled debut EP that will see a physical release on June 18 via Partisan. "Underwater" is a sprawling, majestic ride that takes unexpected, slightly moody turns across its nearly seven-minute journey.

The single opens with delicate chimes and Fraser's entrancing soprano. "The senses consciously holy / Make love by touching fingertips," goes one line. Fuzz and distortion taunt the lullaby melody as she later sings, "The light is being betrayed / Misunderstood, forgotten / Forgotten in the shade." Fraser seems like an operatic fairy singing an ancient romantic poem, or casting a spell leading up to spooky instrumental effects and a mischievous bass line. It might be the best we've heard yet from the super duo.

Listen to "Underwater" below, and grab their EP when it arrives on the upcoming Record Store Day Drops date, which is June 18. You can find more info on the release and the event here.
