Chicago-born, LA-based singer Ravyn Lenae is preparing to release her anticipated debut album Hypnos this Friday, May 20. She's already shared the singles "Skin Tight," "Light Me Up," and "M.I.A," and now she's revealed the Kaytranada-produced "Xtasy," which further expands the sensual and surreal world Lenae is teasing for the new project. The song also comes with an animated visual co-directed by London-based artist Zongbo Jiang.

“When you listen to the music, I hope you have a better understanding of me and even catch a better understanding of yourself," Lenae said about the forthcoming album. "As artists, we make music as a pathway to help other people understand certain aspects of their lives. I’ve gone through the tunnels and seen the light on the other side. I’m finding my way. I’m clearer on who I am and my power through music and lyricism. I’m pouring more into me, friendships, family, and music. Through all of that, I’m fulfilled.”

The visual depicts an avatar of Lenae sitting in a cosmically styled old-school ride featuring a hood ornament of a crescent moon with a star. With glowing flowers in the backseat, it's the kind of funky car you'd find Xzibit detailing on MTV. "Xtasy" is a similarly stylish, smooth ride of floating synths and a retro house beat. Lenae's vocals circle the production like spirals of incense smoke, enticing us to let go and feel the rush.
