Weekend two of the expansive Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona is in the books, with the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Run the Jewels, Lorde, M.I.A., and dozens more closing out the fest. Despite complaints of overcrowding issues and organizational confusion, music reigned supreme, with scores of amazing performances. Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O remarked it was “just a fucking dream come true” during their magnetic set, while The Strokes' Julian Casablancas took to Instagram to proclaim his respect for Radiohead side-band The Smile and the fest overall: "Had my fucking mind blown yesterday," he stated. "Best show i’ve seen in YEARS ……The Smile (Thom Yorke / Jonny Greenwood) – shiiiiiiit that was good. like phillip glass with miles chords with in rainbows Radiohead or something... idk. insane festival overall honestly ...Tyler / Tame Impala etc so many other champions too."
FLOOD photographer Joshua Mellin made the rounds again, documenting many of the festival's biggest artists. Check out highlights below and see the best of weekend one here.
