It's been a wild couple of years since we featured British art-pop rockers Glass Animals as the subject of a digital cover story in the early days of the pandemic. Since releasing their Dreamland album in 2020, the band has enjoyed massive global crossover success, with their "Heat Waves" single hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (the longest-leading #1 song by a British group in 25 years), received a 2022 GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist (yeah, they've been together since 2010), two 2022 Billboard Music Awards (including Top Rock Artist), and headlining dates at arenas and festivals around the world. Frontman Dave Bayley also recently teamed up with Florence + the Machine to co-write and co-produce several songs on her new album, Dance Fever.
This week the band headlined two sold-out shows at Colorado's historic Red Rocks amphitheater, along with an opening set from rapper Denzel Curry who also joined them onstage for their encore to play their collaborative single, "Tokyo Drifting."
Check out highlights from the June 15 show at the majestic open-air amphitheater built into a rock structure in Morrison, Colorado below.
