Over the last forty-five years, Declan MacManus—better known as Elvis Costello—has worn a lot of different hats. Beyond the several hats that he’s physically worn, Costello’s lengthy life resume includes being one of the greatest singer-songwriters, a sought-after producer, one of the most famous glasses-wearers, a television show host, a bass enthusiast/teacher, and, of course, an international art thief.
Now, at sixty years old, Costello is ready to spill the details and (probably) delightful anecdotes about his life within a brand-new book. His memoirs, charmingly titled Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink, will follow the multi-talented artist’s career, family life, and will reveal some insights about his extensive and impressive discography.
While there is no official release date yet, Costello’s memoirs are set to be available starting in October 2015 according to Penguin’s website. Watch Costello and the Attractions rip through a couple of classic tracks on SNL from 1977 below to get excited.
