Sorry are back—thank God! The North London group returned today with a single called "Let the Lights On" and news of a sophomore album titled Anywhere but Here that's out October 7 via Domino. “If our first version of London in 925 was innocent and fresh-faced, then this is rougher around the edges," Louis O'Bryen said about the upcoming album. Asha Lorenz added, ”I just did what everyone else did, I went a bit mad.” Anywhere but Here was produced by O’Bryen, Lorenz, and Ali Chant alongside Portishead’s Adrian Utley.

"Let the Lights On" is an impulsive blast of direct honestly, rusted guitar squeals, hi-speed bass, and hooky drums. Sorry is a band that continues to showcase their mastery of layers, both in production and lyrics. Although Lorenz seems possessed by gratitude, almost to a point of euphoria, there's an urgency to not let that light slip away. It's a spinning projectile waiting for the crash.

“It’s a fun love song for the club," the band said about the new single. "A bittersweet track for us. It kinda touches on how you want to be honest and say things directly, but in the end that can also ruin them. If you’ve got a light don’t let it go out…sometimes you have to leave things behind but it’s hard to do.”
