While Sunsleeper have been extremely active lately between unveiling a barrage of new singles and a slew of tour dates—including their debut at The Fest in Gainesville in October—the SLC-based group is announcing their sophomore album today, with While You Can set to arrive October 7 via Rude Records. The news comes with yet another single in the form of the relaxed, hazy “Stay Home,” which invokes the late-summer-night sounds of Peripheral Vision–era Turnover.
Along with the new tune, the band is also sharing a music video for the single, with the track’s domestic title and its warm tones coming together in a visual that sees the band members performing the track and hanging out in vocalist Jeffrey Mudgett’s living room. “Making this video was probably one of the more enjoyable video experiences we’ve had,” Mudgett shares. “It was fun to incorporate little nods to old videos or eras of the band. Also, my wife Megan filmed, directed, and edited the video herself! Getting to see her in her element is always really inspiring and it’s a treat getting to collaborate together.”
