Say what you want about Tom Cruise, but, at fifty-two years old, the movie star shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. After literally dangling from the world’s tallest building for Brad Bird‘s 2011 Mission: Impossible installment Ghost Protocol, Cruise decided to one-up himself for this summer’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation by dangling from the outside of an airplane mid take-off.
While we can ensure that Ethan Hunt’s latest mission will be considered “impossible” by many, Rogue Nation finds the secret agent (Cruise) and his team going up against “The Syndicate”—an incredibly dangerous and highly skilled group trying to bring down the IMF (Impossible Missions Force, of course). Disguises and motorcycle chases will most certainly be featured, and will definitely be awesome.
Christopher McQuarrie—who worked with Cruise on Edge of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher—is at the helm for the franchise’s fifth installment. Rebecca Ferguson (Hercules) and Alec Baldwin will join Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Ving Rhames, who will be reprising their M:I roles.
Mission: Impossble – Rogue Nation is out July 31, but in the meantime, don’t worry, this message will not self-destruct.
