Cult ’80s hits aren’t the only category of music being revived by Stranger Things—ever since the series launched in 2016, the show’s soundtrack crafted by Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon (members of the synthwave group S U R V I V E) have helped breath new life into a genre popular at the beginning of the last decade, informed equally by the vibrant synths of ’80s pop and film scores from that decade—not to mention the blood-pumping energy of dubstep, which was very much in the water at the time.

After a decade together, Tim McEwan and Tyler Lyle are keeping that scene alive with their project The Midnight, with their latest album Heroes set for release next month. Before then, though, the bi-coastal pair will be joining us for the latest episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked.” Following episodes with Tim Heidecker, Soccer Mommy, Girl Talk, Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Snail Mail, and others, the duo will be taking over the airwaves every day from August 15 through 19 supplying hand-picked songs and recollections of their musical careers over the years.

Airing every day of the week at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PST, tune into FLOOD FM here to hear what they’re spinning.
