It's been a busy year for New York duo Couch Prints, who’ve been dropping singles in quick succession since resurfacing earlier this year. They made their bow at the end of an understandably turbulent 2020 with the promising six-track Tell U EP—you've got time to acquaint yourself with their atmospheric sound before they release its follow-up next month.

Another six-track set is on the way from Jayanna Roberts and Brandon Tong in the form of the Waterfall EP, which collects “All I Know,” “Horsepower,” “Impressions,” and a trio of brand-new songs. The one we're premiering today is the EP’s fourth and final single, the beautifully melancholic “Alive.” Described by the band as “a song about crawling in your skin, dismissal, and envy,” it finds them continuing to expand their sound. If a shoegaze/dreampop hybrid practically dripping with intense, lovelorn emotion sounds like your idea of a good time, you’re going to love this.

Out tomorrow, we've got your first listen below—now’s as good a time as any to immerse yourself in all things Couch Prints, because the Waterfall EP follows on Friday, September 23. They've also got a show on home turf at the weekend, playing Zone One at Elsewhere on Saturday September 3; we’d urge you to get along to that if you can.
