Today, New Jersey club music innovator Cake Da Killa announced his sophomore album Svengali, the follow-up to 2016's Hedonism. The album, which is out October 28 via TOKiMONSTA's Young Art Records, features recent singles "Drugs Du Jour" and "Sip of My Sip." Along with the official album announcement, Cakes also shared the title track.
"I know you touching me / But are you feeling me?" he seductively asks over the slithering house beat on the new single. Accompanied with a black-and-white video directed by Rahil Ashruff, "Svengali" lives in the past, present, and future simultaneously. The visual nods to the clubs of the 1920s with dancers performing choreo in stringy, glittery flapper dresses, while Cakes raps wearing a top hat or white tux. If the title track is any indication, Svengali looks to be a classy, time-traveling celebration.
