Back in May when LA-based pop songwriter Kristiane unveiled the title track from her new EP State Lines with us, she shared that the song was born from the need for a change of scenery. “Having grown up and stayed in Los Angeles for college, I had never experienced geographic change that I’d always yearned for,” she shared. “While living here is a complete blessing, I found myself dreaming about a life beyond what I know.”
With that EP dropping a few weeks back, she’s still got plenty of time to conquer the world—but for now, she’s sharing with us a “Neighborhoods” performance filmed here in LA. Along with “State Lines,” she and an accompanying guitarist transform the EP closer “Cry Baby” into longing acoustic ballads during their brief set in Venice, complemented by a lushly green backdrop. Watch the grainy Handycam footage below, and check out the EP here.
