Tegan and Sara are doing the most this year. They've got a TV series called High School—based on their memoir of the same name—that's debuting this fall, and they have a new album called Crybaby scheduled for release on October 14. Today, they've shared a trailer for the upcoming TV series along with a cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' hit "Today."

The trailer shows a young Tegan and Sara (played by twins Railey and Seazynn Gilliland) enduring the cringe halls of high school and emotional journeys of self-discovery. Before they were the rock stars we know and love today, there was tension and isolation caused by teenage identity crises, all while the '90s grunge scene was taking off alongside a bubbling rave subculture. Or, at least, that's all hinted at in the trailer.

Check that out and their Smashing Pumpkins cover "inspired by the series" below.
