A few month ago, Angel Olsen released Big Time—a tender, country twist on Olsen's poignant songwriting. Today, she's shared a new version of the title track in collaboration with country musician Sturgill Simpson. Turns out the two artists have been pals since Olsen's 2016 album MY WOMAN, and this collab brings their friendship to a new creative level.
“It’s crazy to write a song and then watch someone else you really admire sing your words; kinda turns the whole thing on its head” Olsen shared in a press release. “I loved the song already, but hearing Sturgill’s take on ‘Big Time’ made me smile ear to ear, he made it come alive on a different level.”
