Being a rockstar is a childhood dream that helps bring other childhood dreams to fruition—one of those being the opportunity to throw out a first pitch at a Major League Baseball game. Earlier this summer, Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino fulfilled that dream at Dodger Stadium, and now Sylvan Esso have joined the roster of musicians-turned-honorary-MLB-pitchers. The synth-pop duo, still riding the high off the recent release of their new album No Rules Sandy, threw the first pitch at a Brewers game earlier this week.

Although Sylvan Esso are based in North Carolina, heading up to Milwaukee is a celebration of their roots. It's where Amelia Meath and the Milwaukee-native Nick Sanborn first met over a decade ago. It was such an important event that they ran through the rain to make it in time. "There was a crazy traffic jam and we ended up having to run through the rain to make it in time, which is why we’re visibly soaked lol," they posted on Instagram.
