We’ve received our first substantial taste of what’s to come in SPECTRE, the next installment of the James Bond story, and it’s safe to say that a minute-and-a-half teaser trailer was enough to further propel months of speculation and anticipation leading up to the November release.
Daniel Craig is reprising the titular role for the fourth time, and he looks as brooding and intense as ever as he traces through a dark and secretive past and comes face to face with the shadowy SPECTRE organization, both events foreshadowed in 2012’s Skyfall. While the plot of Spectre is still somewhat unclear, the teaser promises killer performances from the inherently villainous Christoph Waltz as Hans Oberhauser, Naomie Harris as MI6 secretary Moneypenny, and Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra. With Skyfall director Sam Mendes at the helm once again, SPECTRE looks to be as intense as its predecessor—let’s hope they find a theme song as good to match.
