British electronic quartet Ladytron has returned with new music for the first time since releasing their eponymous album Ladytron in 2019. The band, comprising original members Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo, Daniel Hunt, and Reuben Wu, recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2002 project, Light & Magic, and, on January 20 they’ll release their seventh LP, Time’s Arrow, via Cooking Vinyl.

The new album’s first single “City of Angels” is an optimistic, dynamic electronic track with rich, industrial textures and utopian, shoegaze melodies. “It’s about forgetting...how fragile it is…not about one particular place or other, but a merging of them,” Daniel Hunt says of “City of Angels.”

With Time’s Arrow out early next year, Ladytron has also announced three new UK tour dates in March, where they’ll play at SWG3 in Glasgow, Camp & Furnace in Liverpool, and Koko in London.
