It always confused me whether The Nightmare Before Christmas was a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie, or if it swung both ways. I guess composer Danny Elfman has positioned it as a piece to rejoice in the Christmas spirit: As the mastermind behind the movie's score and the voice of lead character Jack Skellington, Elfman is bringing the music to life again on stage in December. Last year, he recruited Billie Eilish to sing the role of Sally, but this year Phoebe Bridgers will take on the challenge.
The performance will take place on December 9 and 10 at Ovo Arena Wembley in London. Elfman will be accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, Ken Page, violinist Sandy Cameron, Randy Crenshaw, Angie Jaree, Baraka May, Greg Proops, and Fletcher Sheridan.
