The undeniably sweet (and oh so catchy) duo of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, better known as She & Him, have just announced their signing with Columbia, thus also announcing their departure from legendary indie label Merge Records.
While we are interested in learning about a tentative new She & Him album slated for the fall, we can’t help but notice that Columbia Records has been quickly scooping up amazing artists left and right as of late. Deschanel and Ward are just the newest additions to a stacked deck that has included recent converts like Daft Punk, The Shins, HAIM, Pharrell, Nine Inch Nails, and more.
