Major music festivals are cool, sure, but what about the ones put on independently by your favorite artists? Now that's a novel conceit. Unfortunately, as far as we know Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw isn't returning this year, but there's another prominent artist holding a massive fest to celebrate their home turf. Today, Snail Mail's Lindsey Jordan announced Valentine Fest, which finds the Baltimore musician returning to play her hometown for the first time in almost five years. The fest is taking place at Ottobar from February 10 through the 14.

Each night of Valentine Fest will feature a special guest as well as a special surprise guest. Jordan hasn't announced the lineup yet, but she did say this: “We have some fucking insane bands on there, one of them I’m pretty sure is getting back together just for this. The idea was to have a new band that we are friends with and admire as the first opener, a legend as the second, and then Snail Mail. So the lineup would be the future, the past, and the present.”

She also added about the legendary venue: “I punched a hole in the wall in the green room one time but it’s all patched up now. It feels like no matter where you’re at in your career, you play the Ottobar, it’s really homey and I love that place.”

Tickets for Valentine Fest are available Friday, November 11 at 7:00 a.m. PST. In the meantime, find more info below.
