It's Charli, baby, and she's coming. Maybe not with a new album quite yet, but her involvement with the forthcoming Benito Skinner (a.k.a. Benny Drama) project was announced today. Skinner's project Overcompensating was sold to Amazon and is being produced by A24. That sort of checks out, considering that XCX was involved with recent A24 horror-comedy hit Bodies Bodies Bodies, releasing the original song "Hot Girl."
Overcompensating centers on Idaho football player Benny and the journey he takes as he begins to understand his sexuality in college. Skinner is executive producing his project alongside Jonah Hill and Hill's Strong Baby production company, Scott King, and XCX—who will also be writing music for the series.
