Ambitious Australian rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard refuse to slow down. After non-stop touring and six albums this year alone (six albums!), the indie/psych/krautrock/thrash/prog/you-name-it band revealed their North American residency tour in June of next year, with three consecutive shows in select cities, capping things off with a three-hour marathon show at Los Angeles’ historic Hollywood Bowl.
In a letter to fans, the band stated: "USA, we love you. So much so we’re coming back as soon as we can. We all waited so long for our last lap around the country it feels like a such a wild and exciting privilege to be coming back so soon. We like to keep things interesting, different, fun and unexpected for us but also for you, our fans. So we’ve hand picked some really unique venues around the country to camp out in for a few nights. Set up shop and really get to know the place. Yep, it’s a RESIDENCY tour. Rocks, Farms, Caves and Salt Sheds. Sounds like an album title? Maybe one day. Capping it all off with a 3 hour marathon show at HOLLYWOOD bowl. Wtf? Life isn’t real for us at the moment."

The band also announced screenings in December for Chunky Shrapnel, a feature-length live music documentary directed by John Angus Stewart. Capturing their 2019 tour across Europe and the UK, Chunky Shrapnel will screen for one night only on December 7. A full list of cities and dates can be found here.
