The past year has likely been a whirlwind for Trevor Hutchens, whose musical outlet veggi suddenly landed on our radars in 2021 when his track “LEVITATING” launched to virality through TikTok. Rather than resting on his laurels, he was quick to turn around a full EP of fresh material with the newly unveiled PRODUCE, featuring a star-studded tracklist peaking with a collaboration alongside Bipolar Sunshine & KALLITECHNIS on “GROOVE.”
For a recent “Neighborhoods” session, veggi brought the song to Long Beach, California’s sandy shores for a live solo performance of the single. Performing live percussion over playback of the master recording on Ableton, Hutchens situates the steamy lyrics and smooth instrumental in what feels like the track’s natural habitat: the beach at sundown.
