Last month, UK rockers October Drift unveiled their latest LP I Don’t Belong Anywhere, a collection of songs that saw the group struggling to reintegrate into a post-pandemic world. The record’s emotional peak arguably occurs early on with the single “Lost Without You,” which hones in on the universal struggle of the distance that separated us at the onset of the pandemic, with most of our relationships being reduced to texts and Zoom calls. “It's a song about heartbreak and helplessness,” vocalist Kiran Roy explained when the song was released. “Inspired by a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend living over 400 miles away in Scotland. It’s about missing loved ones and the struggle of being apart.”

Following a quick tour of the UK in support of the new record, the band filmed a moody “Neighborhoods” session for us wherein they translate the driving energy of “Lost Without You” to a heartfelt acoustic recording. Filmed at Sheppy’s Cider Farm in Somerset, England, the overcast skies looming over the apple orchards match the downtrodden energy of the song’s longing. Check out the video below.
