Founded in 1899, Hollywood Forever (known as Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery until 1998) is one of the city's most historic landmarks, and the final resting place for hundreds of legends, including Judy Garland, Cecil B. DeMille, Rudolph Valentino, Mel Blanc, Johnny and Dee Dee Ramone, and Chris Cornell, among countless others. Situated near the entrance of Hollywood Forever, the two-story Masonic Lodge was built in 1927—originally the building hosted "theatrical midnight funeral services"—but after decades of non-use, in 2009 the cemetery began utilizing the storied lodge for occasional live events.

With their deep ties to Los Angeles, the venue could not have been more perfect to host Local Natives' triumphant three-night residency homecoming. After recent shows at the large-capacity Greek Theatre (in 2021) and YouTube Theatre (in 2022), the venue offered a chance for the band to connect more intimately with fans, while previewing several new songs, rarely-performed deep cuts, and guest appearances from Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, Darkside's Dave Harrington, and Miya Folick.

Check out highlights and behind the scenes moments from all three nights by photographer Joseph Wasilewski below.
