After the seven-and-a-half-minute psychy jam fest of “Let It Happen” last month, Kevin Parker has cut both the time and mood in half with the newest single from Tame Impala‘s highly anticipated new record. The new track, “‘Cause I’m A Man,” is notably a more straightforward, ballad-like song from the Australian project, with Parker making amends for his behavior with the simple admittance, “‘Cause I’m a man, woman / Don’t always think before I do / It’s the only answer I got for you.” As with the previous single, this one was written, performed, recorded, produced, and mixed by Parker in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Ahead of the full live band’s appearance at Coachella this week (in addition to a slew of other sold-out tour dates), Tame Impala has also announced the title of its upcoming, third LP—Currents—that is expected sometime in 2015.
