You may know them as part of Clearbody. You probably know they run the incredibly consistent record label Acrobat Unstable. You should get to know their other band. Yes, Martin Hacker-Mullen is in another band. With all of this going on, it’s no wonder we’ve had to wait more than two years for the debut Stress Fractures album, but good things come to those who wait—and Stress Fractures is a very good thing indeed.

At 10 songs and a hair over 25 minutes, there’s little room to breathe, and it suits the quick-firing confessional nature of the record’s lyrical outlook. As a prelude of sorts, Hacker-Mullen released the Short Films EP in April of 2020, and their debut full-length builds on the intensely focused emo/math-rock/hardcore sound they’ve developed, with added production value and the assistance of Pool Kids’ Caden Clinton tearing shit up on drums.

Out tomorrow via Acrobat Unstable and Old Press Records, we’ve got the early stream hookup below.
