If you're into straightforward, obliterating rock music, then today is a good day for you! Screaming Females have been going strong for 18 years now, and are presently preparing to release their eighth album. The trio returned today with a new single "Brass Bell" along with the announcement of their next album Desire Pathway that's out February 17 via Don Giovanni.

“Maybe there was one in your neighborhood growing up, a corner where everyone decided it took too long to go around, so they made their own pathway to cut through,” guitarist and vocalist Marissa Paternoster shared in regard to the album title, which refers to unofficially marked paths in nature created by constant usage. “There’s this cool unsaid group consciousness that comes together where everyone decides, this is the right way to go.”

She also commented on the new single: “'Brass Bell” is a song about surrendering your autonomy to something so overwhelmingly powerful you willingly relinquish your ambitions and self-worth. My intention was to draw an interesting dichotomy between the muscular nature of the song and the rather bleak, worried lyrics.”

Listen to "Brass Bell" below, and pre-order Desire Pathway here.
