It’s been nearly seven years since Hot Hot Heat released their farewell album, but between the Canadian indie rockers’ various side projects (such as Left Field Messiah) and the recent 20th-anniversary reissue of their iconic debut LP Make Up the Breakdown, their band name has remained in headlines since then. In honor of that record recently hitting the two-decade mark, the band’s Steve Bays and Parker Bossley honed in on the era in which the album was released when compiling tunes for their episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked.”

Airing all week, January 23 through Friday the 27th, at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT, tune in to hear the familiar sounds of dance-punk peers like The Faint, The Rapture, and Clinic, while the duo also brings things up to the present moment by debuting a brand new single from Bays and Bossley’s electronic side project Fur Trade, who tease a new record set to drop later this year. Catch the episode daily at the time listed above here.
